Brief 2 - Mini Adult

As I said in an earlier post, the existing make up brands that are aimed at teenagers seem to condescend and patronise the idea of being a teen. In response teens have boycotted these brands and use 'adult' brands. Therefore they obviously like the idea of being grown up and don't want to be treated like a child anymore. I need to find out the reasons they want to grow up and like the idea of it. If the brand 17 can portray these things to a teen then in theory it should be a successful idea.

The media is a big influence showing photoshopped and flawless images of celebrities. Talking about more 'adult' topics to a younger audience.

People always want to do what they can't. Teens are still underage to do certain things.

They want to do what they want when they want to, which is what they think that adults do, however they don't want to have to face the consequences.

I think independence is the overriding factor here. Teens want independence because they are just a little bit too young to completely have it.

A slogan idea could be..... Independent me.
